The Dodge Command Car and other WC series hood/bonnet hinge.

Research - Help needed on a different hood/bonnet hinge!

Does anybody have information about what type of hinge was used when and on which car.

Please send anything you have to hinge@command-car.com

1. The well known 100 percent sure Dodge factory made hinge:

Details of the 3/4 ton Dodge hinge on the bonnet / hood.
This is a picture series taken from Commander George, my WC58 body no. 4229/933 July 1942.
It shows the widely known hinge used on the 3/4ton Dodge.

2. Different style of the hinge:

Details of another style of the 3/4 ton Dodge hinge on the bonnet / hood.
This is a picture series taken from Old Abe WC56 body no. 4219/1505 June 1942.
.
Research in progress: another style of bonnet/hood hinge found on some early 3/4ton Command Cars, too.
Any hint to bring some light in the history behind this style is highly appreciated.
Question: Are both styles factory made or is this second shown style a Swiss Army made conversion?
Three more examples are known, two of them have been to the Swiss Army.
