This is the plate which is shown in the TM 10-1531, 15 May 1942, 1. Edition. |
This plate is slightly larger than the later plate. |
As far as known until today these plates were used up to August/September 1942. |

Data plates are made from brass and zinc during WW2. |
The plates are done with an etching process that creates raised letters and borders. |

This one is as far as I know original from a European Army early 1950s |
special to this one is that they show the model of truck imprinted, here "Command WC 56" |
For sure they were NOT on the Trucks during WW2 or in the Dodge plant. |
They are also known with WC 51 for example. |
